There are many factors that affect the wear and tear of Jewellery. You should take care of your Jewellery as much as you do to any other product. Here are some important factors to keep in mind when you want to take care of your precious Jewellery.
How Should I Clean My Jewellery?
- Clean your Jewellery carefully with a soft, non-abrasive cloth; this helps maintain or bring back its shine. If necessary, you can use a mild washing up liquid with warm water and a very soft brush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Additionally you can purchase a Silver-Dip and dip your Jewellery for about 10 seconds and then rinse with water.
How Should Store and Take Care Of My Jewellery?
Always store your Jewellery pieces individually, preferably in the Presentation Box that we provide you. More care should be taken with gemstones to ensure that they do not knock against one another when stored. Also remember to keep your Necklaces in seperate boxes in order to avoid them being tangled.
Try to avoid humidity or heat as this may cause tarnishing. Gold and Silver Jewellery should be kept in a cool and dry place. With time and wear, Silver will naturally become oxidised and eventually tarnish. The oxidation process is also slowed down by wearing your Jewellery often but avoid using Perfuming directly when wearing your Jewellery. If however, your Jewellery is stored for long periods of time, occasional cleaning is recommended to maintain that shine back
